Crystal and the kids have been busy as of late, so I have decided to infringe upon her sacred blog to announce some great news...our LOA arrived! This is a big deal because it officially matches us specifically to Nathan in the eyes of the Chinese adoption authorities along with giving us the ability to start our travel approval paperwork with US immigration. In addition to the LOA this past week, our homestudy update was also completed and sent away to USCIS.
Since I normally do not post on this blog, I would just like to say thanks for all the support to our friends and family. This has been a new and exciting experience for our little household...especially going through a move in the middle of it all, and the support helps immensely. A bit of light is starting to peek through from the other side of the world and we can't wait until it finally illuminates our first embrace of Nathan (hopefully still in late June-July).

News About Nathan!
We are still waiting and waiting and waiting some more on our LOA to arrive...
In the meantime, we received an update today about our son!!! Even though this update brought me tears of joy, it also makes the waiting harder. Feast your eyes on his precious face!
He has four teeth, can sit and stand by himself, and is saying Mama. My heart is so full of love for this little boy that I have yet to hold. Praise God for his health and safety, and please join our family in prayer for his continued health and protection until we can bring him home.
Now back to waiting...
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His Word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:25

Snow, Cookies, and LID
In the previous post, our Dossier was mailed to China. CCCWA (or China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption) received our Dossier on Feb.8th and we received a LID (or Log-In Date) of Feb.15th. We both finished our 12 hours of Parent Training a few days later.
So what is next you ask? Good question because we were a little unsure ourselves. We are waiting on CCCWA to send us our LOA (or Letter of Acceptance), which will give us the official approval to adopt Nate. After this form is signed and sent back to China, we can then send our I-800 to USCIS (or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). This form basically gives us approval to adopt Nate specifically now that we have the official go-ahead from CCCWA. Confused yet? I had to do some research to get all my letters and numbers right! After our I-800 is approved, our file will be sent to NVC, we wait to get "cabled", and then we will receive our Article 5, so we can have our TA. Now you are confused :) I will explain those letters and numbers in another email. To sum things up a bit, we are hoping to travel sometime between June and August.
In the meantime, I will be spending next week decorating Nate's room, since Tyson's Mom will be in town to help me sew and be crafty. The following week will be the first meeting with our new social worker so we can update our Home Study after the move. Then we wait.
While we wait the kids and I are finding ways to stay busy by reading books together, playing board games, making cookies, and playing in the snow (or mud after the snow melts).

My two little Snow Angels :)
Oh no! The Snowmen are melting!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
