Train has left the station

Well, we are off into our 20,000 mile journey across the country, around the world, and back again. South Dakota to Florida is our required logistical (ditching the kids with parents) leg and it started this morning with 1 of 6 or so alarms going off just prior to 4:00 AM. The overkill in alarms was due to the fact we had finally finished our packing only 3 or so hours before. Not the way we envisioned the beginning of a guaranteed, sleep-deprived trip...but we just figure it's a good head start on the inevitable. Having one day home sandwiched between being away on business for 2 months & starting this adoption adventure was something we hope to never repeat, but will always remember. Thankfully, Crystal did a great job having so many things in place for the trip and the final touches/list checking went well other than a few hours of overtime there at the end.

We look forward to enjoying a bit more time with the kids and family tomorrow before departing Florida for Beijing. The airlines and weather machine must certainly be noticing a spike in prayers from the Sailer family right now. Till next time.
